THE PROPHETIC

When I got up from my bed today, I instantly know what God was asking me to do, He was asking me to write about the PROPHETIC ! But first let us have a clear idea of what prophesy is all about. Prophesy is not about telling you your name or your father's sins or the pants that you are wearing. Prophesy is a supernatural ability given to a man to hear what God is saying, discussing about an issue and repeating the same word or conversation to the realm of man. it is THUS SAYS THE LORD ! HERE is a clear example of it in Amos 3:....Amo 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. Amo 3:8 The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord GOD hath spoken, who can but prophesy? You can see right there, the lord has spoken, i can not but speak forth/prophesy what i hear or see. The prophet and the prophetic dwells in the secret place of God. They hear, see and know the secret things of God, so that they can made them know unto his sons. Now let me go to what God has laid in my heart to share: THE 4 LEVELS OF THE PROPHETIC it is called the 4 levels of THUS SAID THE LORD and their purposes are not the same. 1. the spirit of prophecy.....this is the lowest level of the prophetic gifting which is embedded in every child of God. Every child of God has the right to the secret place of their father, it is their born right to hear their father and to publish his word. This is the access we have in our personal prayer and in our personal worship. Every child of God can hear God in that degree and proclaim it.....Rev_19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. The purpose of the spirit of prophecy is to aid believers in communicating the testimony of Jesus; it helps us and gives us direction about sharing the testimony of Jesus and winning soul for the kingdom. 2.the gift of prophecy, which is simply for edification, exhortation and comfort commonly use in the believers meetings, my seven years old son walks in this, he simply comes up and say 'daddy i think I know what Jesus is saying' and he begins to speak. Stephen the evangelist has daughters that flowed in this grace/gift. Act 21:8 And the next day we that were of Paul's company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him. Act 21:9 And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy. 3. Prophecy as an operation/assignment gift. This you will see in the book of Romans 12....Rom 12:6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; 1Co 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; The 3rd one is for imparting or putting faith, not fear into believers. Faith is not informational, it is revelational, it is spiritual, it is spiritual !... 2Co_4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; it is from this gift that we see the manifestations of visions, dreams, angelic visitations etc. This gift opens the bearer into the spirit realm. And this is the gift that is mostly misunderstood. The possessors of this gift behave spiritual, sensitive ,intuitive critical, judgmental and a lover of communion , I mean worshiping God and prayers. Most people who called themselves intercessors are normally believers with the gift of prophecy and some are even great worship leaders, they are sensitive and discerning . but unfortunately this gift is widely abused by most people that have them, because of the high level of revelational tendencies in this gifts, it make many to develop spiritual pride, sometimes self righteousness, and most of the bearer may be at one time or the other very difficult to correct , because they have this 'i know it all syndrone 'many times most of these bearer do transform themselves in Prophets and starts ministries and churches because of this gift, yet this is not the real prophetic office in the five fold. This bear is not the gift, he simply has a tool/gift. A true five fold prophet is a gift to the body himself/herself. There is a difference between a man with a teaching gift and a TEACHER of the gospel as an office in the five-fold so, is it with a man with the gift of prophecy and a PROPHET of the gospel of Jesus Christ. 4. The PROPHET or the prophetic office in the five-fold. the purpose of this gift is building God's Judgment/Will into the believer....Eph 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: This man/woman knows the secrets/mysteries of God, she/he unveils it with the end of building it within the spirit of the believers. it is about shaping the saints according to God's judgment and direction. A clear example I have seen in american is Cindy Trim. however, it must be said that a true apostle and a prophet are very close and heavy in their ranks when it concerns the ministry of the word of life, both of them are revelational in nature. they are both carrier of God's blue print, they are both layers of believers foudational life which is their SPIRITUAL LIFE or kingdom living. The difference between them is Apostolic revelation is constructive in nature and full of godly wisdom in building the character and life of Christ into believers, which means it is more instructive. But Prophetic revelation is more motivational or inspirational, it gives strength to believer to pursue God and their God given purposes and it is full of judgement/discernment/direction/God's will for believers.
