FAITH TOWARDS GOD

On our Apostolic foudational work, we shall be looking at the second build block; FAITH TOWARDS GOD What is FAITH ?....Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance/raw material of things hoped/expected for, the evidence/proof/receipt/persuasion of things not seen/physically seen. when God gives us a hope or a dream/vision, he gives us our future; but the substance or the raw material of realizing the future is FAITH . Faith is a revelation, it is the reason why we believe him/God. God will never ask a man to believe Him without given the man Faith, so faith is a GIFT. Isa 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Rom_12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of FAITH. Faith is the reason for believing the gospel of Christ. when a man has faith, he get hungry for the word, he begins to look for what to believe. Most sinners had faith before or long before they got saved. Paul had FAITH when he encounter Jesus on the way to Damascus; he did not get saved until Ananias was assigned to bring him the gospel, got him saved, got him healed and got him baptized. our Faith comes from our personal encounter with Christ. Most modern believers have no personal experience or encounter with Christ. This is the reason many have no personal testimony and no personal conviction about sin righteousness and of God's judgment except the magical sinners prayer they recited and were taught to believe that by this a sinner is saved by just reciting sinners prayers......a formula to salvation? No formula recited can bring a sinner to Christ, only Christ through his spirit can do that. Heb_4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. A man that is ripe for the gospel is a man of faith ! Long before I got saved I had some personal encounter with demonic world and the victory in the name of Jesus delivering me that night. My second experience came when i got into another trouble and i needed God's help even though I was a bad boy at that point. In fact i had no faith that God will help, I only made a promise that if God will help me i will serve him. surprised i got a miracle. these two events wrought faith in me. This faith began to push me towards God and Christian fellowship until i eventually heard the gospel and got saved. SO FROM MY EXPERIENCE,WHEN A MAN/WOMAN TRULY HAS FAITH, THE FAITH WILL PUSH HIM/HER TOWARDS GOD, not towards the world or sin. True Faith help to overcome SIN...1Jn_5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Heb_10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
